A Tisket, A Tasket
Although our days of filling baskets with carefully sought Easter eggs are over, those colorful collections of days gone by can inspire floral arrangements today. Dorothy McDaniel created this arrangement, using favorite blooms she “hunted” for in her garden. To create a similar spring basket, first fill the container with soaked floral foam. Add yellow roses, blue hydrangeas, green viburnum, white tulips, and sunny-hued ranunculus blooms. Then accent the design with a few soft, playful touches of greenery, such as climbing and trailing ivy and maidenhair fern. Finish the look with a cheerful turquoise bow and cascading twirls of ribbon.
