About the Author
Donna Everhart is the USA Today best-selling author of The Road to Bittersweet, winner of the Outstanding Southeastern Author Award from Southeastern Library Association, and author of The Education of Dixie Dupree (which was a 2016 Indie Next List selection), The Forgiving Kind, and The Moonshiner’s Daughter. A member of the North Carolina Writers’ Network and Women’s Fiction Writers Association, she writes stories of family hardship and troubled times in a bygone South. Donna is a native of North Carolina; she grew up in Raleigh and has lived close to her hometown for most of her life. She now lives in Dunn, North Carolina, with her husband and a tiny, heart-stealing Yorkshire terrier named Mister.
