Bourbon-Infused Salted Butterscotch Sauce

These Bourbon-Infused Salted Butterscotch Sauce is great on pies, cookies, and cakes. 

Bourbon-Infused Salted Butterscotch Sauce
Makes about 3 cups
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup cream 
  • ½ cup dark corn syrup
  • ½ cup bourbon 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, cream, and corn syrup; bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to medium; cook for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt, whisking to combine.
  2. Remove from heat; let stand for 5 minutes. Pour into individual jars. Store covered in refrigerator for up to 5 days. Bring to room temperature before using.
