It’s been 40 years since Caroline Ragsdale Reutter baked her first cake for friends, unknowingly launching what is now Caroline’s Cakes. The South Carolina bakery now ships more than 30 varieties of layer cakes, cake bites, and other time-honored Southern recipes from their home base in Spartanburg to homes across the country.
