Box of Blooms, A Floral Arrangement How-To

Cooler temperatures offer the opportunity to drink deep of some seasonal nostalgia, and turn to our older items for fresh decorating inspiration. Here we create a lovely floral arrangement in an antique box.

To recreate this arrangement, use an antique wooden box as the container and give it a layer of protection by lining the box with cellophane. Then, fill it with soaked floral foam cut to fit.

Delicate blooms of velvet red cockscomb, red spray roses, and pink mini callas spill forth from the interior alongside waxflower and Bupleurum creating the look of a tabletop treasure chest bursting with cheer. This is a perfect display for your Christmas table, and can always come in handy again as a Valentine’s Day centerpiece.
