Ingredients
  1. Makes 1 dozen (4-inch) waffles
  2. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  3. ¼ cup sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  6. ½ teaspoon salt
  7. ½ cup finely chopped toasted pecans
  8. 3 large eggs
  9. 1¼ cups whole milk
  10. ½ cup sour cream
  11. ½ cup butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Preheat waffle iron.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir in pecans.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sour cream, and melted butter. Add egg mixture to flour mixture, whisking until smooth. Pour batter onto waffle iron, and cook until waffles are brown. Serve with Bananas Foster Topping.

  2. ¼ cup butter
  3. ¼ cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
  4. ½teaspoon ground cinnamon
  5. 2 tablespoons banana Schnapps
  6. 2 tablespoons dark rum
  7. ¼ cup cane syrup
  8. 3 large ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
  9. ¾ cup pecan halves
Instructions
  1. In a medium skillet, melt butter over low heat. Add brown sugar and cinnamon; cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves, 3 to 4 minutes. Increase heat to medium; add banana Schnapps and rum; cook for 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add cane syrup; cook for 1 minute. Add bananas and pecans; cook for 2 minutes, stirring gently to coat bananas. Serve warm.
