The couple modified the house’s original plans to best fit their needs. Their adjustments included an expanded dining room that could accommodate their R.J. Horner reproduction dining table. Horner was a furniture maker who set up shop in New York in the 1880s, and was known for reproducing European styles and creating innovative designs of his own.
