Petal Bow Tutorial Step-by-Step Instructions:
Step 1: Cut a length of wired ribbon for the center of the bow. Tie a loose knot in the center, and set aside.
Step 2: Make a circle of wired ribbon that is the desired width for the bow. (Note: Our example is about 6 inches.) Continue winding the ribbon around the circle for 8 to 10 loops, depending on the fullness you want. (Note: Ours has 9 loops that will form 18 petals.) Press ribbon flat, and snip each corner diagonally with scissors.
Step 3: Reposition the fold on the loops so that the notches ale in the center, then firmly tie with the first length of knotted ribbon.
Step 4: Press the ribbon flat, and cut diagonally at each corner as shown. Beginning on the underside, separate each petal, and twist close to center of bow, working your way around the entire bow. Fluff, and then attach to package.
