Ingredients
  1. 1 (64-ounce) bottle cranberry juice
  2. 1 (33.8-ounce) bottle pear nectar
  3. 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  4. 1 large sprig rosemary
  5. Garnish: fresh rosemary, fresh cranberries
Instructions
  1. In a large Dutch oven, combine cranberry juice, pear nectar, cloves, and rosemary. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for 20 minutes. Remove cloves and rosemary. Garnish with fresh rosemary and fresh cranberries, if desired.

  1. 1/2 gallon whole milk
  2. 1 1/2 cups Irish cream liqueur
  3. 3/4 cup bourbon
  4. 1/2 cup chocolate-flavored liqueur
  5. 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 1 quart chocolate ice cream, softened
Instructions
  1. In a large pitcher, combine milk, Irish cream liqueur, bourbon, chocolate liqueur, and vanilla. Add ice cream, stirring to combine. Cover and chill.

  1. 2 1/2 cups half-and-half
  2. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  3. 1/2 cup freshly brewed strong espresso
  4. 1/2 cup molasses
  5. 2 teaspoons ground ginger
Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine half-and-half and vanilla over medium heat. Whisking constantly, heat for 5 minutes, or until milk begins to steam; do not boil. Remove from heat. Add espresso, molasses, and ginger, whisking to combine.

Holiday Iced Tea

Holiday Iced Tea
Makes about 2 1/2 quarts

Ingredients
  1. 3 quarts water
  2. 3 cinnamon sticks
  3. 1 tablespoon whole allspice
  4. 1 tablespoon whole cardamom pods
  5. 1 lemon, sliced
  6. 4 family-size tea bags
  7. 1 1/2 cups sugar
  8. 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  9. Garnish: cinnamon sticks, lemon slices
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine water, cinnamon sticks, allspice, cardamom, and lemon. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium, and cook for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and add tea bags. Cover, and steep for 5 minutes. Strain tea into a large pitcher. Add sugar and lemon juice, stirring until sugar dissolves. Serve over ice. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and lemon slices, if desired.

  1. 1 (750-milliliter) bottle Prosecco, chilled
  2. 2 cups cranberry-raspberry juice, chilled
  3. 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  4. 2 tablespoons grenadine
  5. 1 tablespoon raspberry-flavored liqueur
  6. 1 tablespoon orange-flavored liqueur
  7. Garnish: fresh raspberries, lime curls
Instructions
  1. In a pitcher, combine Prosecco, cranberry-raspberry juice, lime juice, grenadine, raspberry liqueur, and orange liqueur, stirring gently to combine. Serve chilled. Garnish with fresh raspberries and lime curls, if desired.

Pomegranate-Ginger Martini

  1. 4 ounces pomegranate juice
  2. 1 ounce gin*
  3. 1/2 ounce Ginger Simple Syrup (recipe follows)
Instructions
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes. Add pomegranate juice, gin, and Ginger Simple Syrup. Shake mixture vigorously for 5 to 10 seconds. Strain mixture into glass.
Notes
  1. *For testing purposes, we used Bombay Sapphire Gin.

Ginger Simple Syrup
Makes about 1 cup

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1 cup water
  3. 1 (2-inch) piece fresh ginger root, cut into pieces
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, combine sugar, water, and gingerroot over medium-high heat; stir until sugar dissolves. Cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Cover, and steep for 30 minutes. Strain syrup, and let cool completely. Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

  1. 4 cups vanilla ice cream
  2. 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  3. 1/2 cup finely crushed peppermint
  4. Garnish: whipped cream, crushed peppermint
Instructions
  1. In the container of a blender, combine ice cream, milk, and peppermint. Process until well combined. Garnish with whipped cream and crushed peppermint, if desired.
